Spirit of the West Adventures is pleased to offer new yoga and sea kayaking trips on the west coast of Vancouver Island.
Quadra Island, British Columbia (PRWEB) February 29, 2012
Join Spirit of the West Adventures on a sea kayaking and yoga tour on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Long sandy beaches, calming sunsets, and invigorating yoga make this kayaking tour an unforgettable experience.
This unique kayaking and yoga tour allows paddlers to start their day with a rejuvenating yoga practice before setting off paddling throughout the Nuchatlitz Marine Park. While exploring remote beaches and coves, kayakers have the opportunity to view an abundance of wildlife including sea otters, sea lions, black bears, eagles, deer and possibly whales. This trip blends the cultural history of ancient First Nation’s villages with stunning natural surroundings including reefs, sea caves, and old growth forests.
For the past sixteen years, Spirit of the West Adventures has offered tours throughout Vancouver Island and the company is excited to expand their kayaking expertise to include yoga-kayaking tours with certified yoga instructors.
The collaboration of skilled Spirit of the West kayak guides with certified yoga instructor Josephine “Yogamama” Anderson make this trip the perfect blend of activity, relaxation, and exploration.
As yoga instructor Josephine explains, “participating in a yoga retreat allows you to become fully immersed in your practice of yoga and meditation without the distractions of daily life. It is a wonderful way to deepen your personal practice and share the joy of living your yoga with a group of like-minded people, a sangha.”
The six day-five night tour departs from the Quadra Island area or Gold River. From Gold River the group takes a watertaxi into this remote paddling destination. As an expedition style trip, this tour allows paddlers to explore the maximum distance by moving from camp to camp each day. Yoga will be offered throughout the trip dependent on group desires. No previous yoga or kayaking experience is necessary – but a sense of adventure will enhance the experience of participants. Tour costs covers all kayaking and camping equipment, yoga, meals, and transportation.
The tour runs August 7-12 and seats are filling fast. Book early to avoid missing this adventure of a lifetime.
